Merlin token
The token is the key. Merlin is the product.
Token details
| Ticker | Announced at launch |
| Network | Ethereum mainnet |
| Launch | Programmable Custom Launch |
| Supply | 1,000,000,000 tokens, fixed. No mint function, no owner. |
| Pool | Uniswap v4, ETH / Merlin |
| Allocation | The whole supply goes into the pool. No team allocation. The project wallet makes a first buy of about $1 inside the launch transaction. |
| Opening value | About $20,000, and never below $15,000, checked against a live ETH/USD price feed. |
| Liquidity | Locked forever. The launch contract holds it and has no way to remove or move it. |
| Trading fee | 3% on every buy and sell, paid in ETH: 2.7% to the Merlin project and 0.3% to Programmable. |
| Contract address | Announced at launch |
All of these are fixed when the token launches. There is no owner and no admin key, so nobody, including the Merlin team, can mint more tokens, change the fees or remove the liquidity afterwards.
How it launches
The Merlin token launches through Programmable's Custom Launch on Ethereum mainnet, in one transaction that:
- deploys the token, the pool hook and the launch contract
- puts the whole supply into a Uniswap v4 pool against ETH and locks it there for good
- checks the opening value is at least $15,000 against a live ETH/USD price feed, or the launch fails
- turns on sniper protection
- makes the project wallet's first buy of about $1
The contracts are Programmable's published launch-protection package, used unchanged. Before launch, Programmable reviews the exact contracts and settings.
Fees
| Who | Buy | Sell | Paid in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Merlin project | 2.7% | 2.7% | ETH |
| Programmable | 0.3% | 0.3% | ETH |
| Total | 3% | 3% | ETH |
The pool's hook takes the fee on every trade. The project fee funds Merlin's development, and part of it goes to buying back the Merlin token.
Sniper protection
Opening fee
For the first 30 seconds, buys pay a 99% fee that falls steadily to the normal 3%. The extra goes to Programmable's treasury. Sells pay the normal fee throughout.
Wallet limit
For the first 5 minutes, no wallet can buy or receive more than 2% of the supply in total. Selling or moving tokens out does not reset the limit.
The project wallet is limited by the same 2% rule as everyone else.
What it does
- Access: holding the Merlin token raises your agent and check limits and unlocks advanced rules.
- Project fee: 2.7% of every trade, in ETH, funds Merlin's development.
- Buybacks: part of the project fee goes to buying back the Merlin token.
Tiers
| Free | Holder | |
|---|---|---|
| Agents | 1 | More |
| Checks per day | Daily allowance | Higher |
| Core rules | All five | All five |
| Advanced rules | No | As they ship |
Exact limits and holding thresholds will be published before they go live.
Risks
- Prices can go down as well as up, and you can lose everything you put in.
- Programmable's review checks the launch; it is not a security audit.
- Merlin the product is still being built. Plans and timelines can change.
